Overview
IAS exam is not very difficult, but it is very vast. Most aspirants don’t realise it and therefore they start their preparation after their graduation. It takes them good 18 to 20 months just to cover the entire syllabus and optional properly and by that time they have already lost their one or two attempts and they get demotivated and depressed.
Students end up taking multiple attempts putting their most important 20s at stake. Therefore, if civil services is your dream you should start your preparation well in time.
A building is as strong as its foundation and same is true about UPSC IAS preparation. To crack this exam in the first attempt only, students from diverse backgrounds must have a strong foundation.

Since students are in full time study mode, there is no break in their continuity in studies unlike those students who aim to prepare after graduation/working for a few years.
Multiple Revisions
The vastness of the syllabus demands that students must revise every subject at least four times. It is important to uncover all the syllabus that we cover. Starting early helps aspirants time their syllabus coverage and revisions properly.
Seniority Matters
Students starting early are more likely to achieve higher ranks after joining as an IAS/IPS officer. With extra years of service, young entrants have more chances of reaching the ranks of cabinet secretaries, Chief secretaries and DGPs.

What is the fee structure for this course?
The total fees for this course is Rs. 50,000 + GST.
Scholarship is available for meritorious students. Students can also pay the
fees in Easy instalments.
What subjects should I take in Graduation?
Civils Services exam can be attempted after the graduation. The graduation
can be in any field i.e. Arts, Science, Medical, Non-Medical, Commerce etc. The
graduation must be from a recognized university.
However, if being in the IAS is your ultimate dream, then we suggest that you
take UPSC aligned subjects in your graduation. You can get in touch with our
CBL team before deciding about your college admission. Our counselors
would be more than willing to give you personalized guidance.
Will civil services preparation have any effect on my performance in school?
Yes, a positive one! UPSC aspirants develop a mindset which is completely
different from the ordinary students. The level of preparation is such that a
student not only studies everything carefully but also develops the wisdom to
understand the topics very profoundly. This enhances their performance in
school too.
What subjects should I focus on during the foundation course?
Focus on subjects like History, Geography, Political Science, Economics,
General Science, Current affairs, English Proficiency, and Basic Arithmetic skills.
How can I manage my UPSC IAS preparation along with my school/ university exams ?
CBL designs courses keeping the school/ university exams in mind. We provide
lecture recordings to the students which can be viewed an unlimited number
of times. Also, students can attend the classes again in case they miss any
topic due to school / university or some personal obligations. The faculty also
takes weekly live doubt sessions (both offline and online) to help students
cover up the missed syllabus (if any).
